About Visit Sicily

Sicily is separated from Calabria by the narrow Strait of Messina, and Mount Etna, an active volcano, rises on its eastern side. Successive Greek, Roman, Arab, Norman and Spanish rule left layered architecture across the island. Travellers visit the Valley of the Temples at Agrigento, the mosaics at Monreale, Baroque Noto and hilltop Taormina.
