History of the website & tourism marketing

VisitAarhus.com was registered on 11 September 1999, before the turn of the century; the Danish version VisitAarhus.dk followed on 3 May 2000. The site is run by an in-house team with its own web manager and online project leaders, in collaboration with Yulsn for dynamic content and engagement.

1999

Domain VisitAarhus.com registered before the turn of the century.

2000

On 01-03-2000, VisitDenmark.com becomes the official address of the Danish Tourist Board.

2005

VisitAarhus.dk activated on 09-04-2005 as the Danish-language version of the website.

2019

"Aarhus — Just Another City" campaign launched 26-08-2019 with VisitDenmark and SAS Airlines, created by agency Fold7. It highlights landmarks such as the Infinite Bridge and the ARoS Rainbow Panorama.
